The Lewisburg Chocolate Festival offers activities for all ages, including several FREE children's actvities:
Chocolate Mousse Eating Contest
Children are invited to participate in this hands-free competition.
The contest will take place at Tavern 1785. Registration will begin at 10am and end at 12:30pm. Contestants are asked to register early in order to be able to participate in all other festival activities.
Three divisions will create the contest and only one winner will be chosen from each.
The first division will be for young children ages 5 to 9 years old and the contest will begin at 1pm. The second division will be for teens age 10 to 14 years and the contest begins at 1:30pm. The final division will be for ages 15 to adult and the contest will begin at 2pm.
Only 12 participants will be entered in each division. Entry into the competition is determined by drawing names. Early registration does not guarantee a seat in the contest.
Children's Story Telling
A reading of "Curious George goes to the Chocolate Factory" will take place at ?pm in the City Greenspace, located at the intersection of Washington Street & Jefferson Street. This event is free to the public and sponsored by Greenbrier Historical Society and North House Museum.
Children can enter a drawing to win a copy of the book and each child will receive a chocolate treat.
Original Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory Movie
This movie classic will play for free at The Lewis Theatre twice on Saturday. Check back for times.
